Tryouts will not be required for Fall Ball

Spring/Summer Tryout Policy:

​

No player will be allowed to tryout without being registered.

​

Tryouts/Evaluations are required for all players who are participating on a traveling team.  The purpose of tryouts is not only to determine teams, but more importantly, to assess the skill level of each team assembled.  The association must provide the league with a 1-10 ranking of the team and determine which division to enter (A/BI/BII/C) prior to the start of the season.  Evaluations are vital to the success of the season.  

 

If you are unable to attend tryouts; please notify the Director immediately at sspgfa@gmail.com

 

All players will be placed on a team within their appropriate age bracket.  Depending on team numbers, skill level, and player positions; a player may be pulled up to an older age bracket.  A player cannot per league rules play down an age bracket.  The meeting to determine teams will consist of only board members and coaching staff; it will be closed to parents.   

 

Tryouts are conducted by an independent evaluator. 

 

Tryouts are closed to parents.

 

Players requesting waivers:  All players who are requesting waivers either in or out of the association should attend tryouts to be properly evaluated.  If you plan to request a waiver please notify the Director immediately.  

 

Final team rosters will be posted online and emails will be sent to parents.
